LI: W.A.L how to identify and describe the important ideas of the story from the characters point of view.
Kainga - The wife of Mataaho .
I am the wife of Mataaho who is the God of volcano. Mataaho and I lived on Maungawhau. When Mataaho came back from hunting late at night I gave him food, then a bath and a warm bed to sleep in. But one night he didn’t come back and I was angry. So I packed my bags and I left him because he didn’t come back from hunting. I hoped that he would be starving, stinky and also not have a warm bed to sleep in. Later on I heard that Mahuika the Goddess of fires gave Mataaho food, bath and a warm bed so I was upset. In the future I think that I can find a better husband who can thank me for all my hard work because I can give him food, a bath and a warm bed.
